Mohare and Khopra Danda Trek is one of the newly opened tourist destinations in Nepal which takes you through the peaceful off the beaten trail on the foothills of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayan Ranges. The short trek is perfect for those who are looking for a quiet holiday in the foothills of the Himalayas without having to trek for many days and in a less crowded area. The trekking route of Mohare and Khopra Danda offers a perfect view of snow-capped peaks and green hills including terraced fields, pasturelands and rich culture of one of the ethnic group of Magar and Gurung people. 

Day 1: Kathmandu Arrival - 1300m
Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu and meet, assists and transfer to the hotel by our representative. Welcome drinks on arrival and briefing of tour program by one of the representatives from Aarya Village Travel from Nepal.

Day 2: Kathmandu – Pokhara - 900m altitude (B)
After Breakfast drive to Pokhara. It is around 6-7 hours drive from Kathmandu (depends on traffic). Pokhara is a remarkable place of natural beauty, situated at an altitude of 900m from the sea level and 200km west of Kathmandu valley. The enchanting town has several beautiful lakes and offers stunning panoramic views of Himalayan peaks. The serenity of lakes and the magnificence of the Himalayas rising behind them create an ambiance of peace and magic. Check in hotel. Evening enjoys walking along the bank of Phewa Lake, admiring the stunning reflection of the Fish Tail Peak in the blue Phewa Lake waters.

Day 3: Pokhara – Galeshwor –Banskharka (4 hours drive) 3 hours Walk(1526m) (B/L/D)
After breakfast at the hotel, we start to drive from Pokhara to Galeshwor along a bank of Modi and Kali Gandaki river. Take a lunch at Galeshwor and start our trekking through crossing the suspension bridge of Kali Gandaki river. We start ascend the uphill for 3 hours with beautiful villages and orange farms. There is no any tea shop for a tea break and to buy water on the way. We can view Mt. Dhaulagiri and Mt. Nilgiri.

Day 4: Banskharka –Nangi- 6 hours walk (2320m) (B/L/D)
After taking our breakfast at community hall we start our trekking towards Nangi. This goes along with forest with beautiful landscapes, views of mountains and wonderful Magar settlement. We take a lunch at Dandakateri village (2009m) and walk forward towards Nangi and stay overnight at community lodge.

Day 5: Nangi to Mohara Danda -6 hours walk (3320m) (B/L/D)
After a hot breakfast with the view of Mt. Dhaulagiri we start to walk up hills through the forest, there is no any tea shop before the lunch place. After the lunch co through grasslands forest with the valley view of Pokhara side when we close to Mohara Danda, Which is the magnificent view point to see the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range on the north side and the Phewa lake with hills and Pokhara valley on the south part of Mohara Danda. In the evening, we observe glorious sunset view from Mohare hill station and then overnight at community management lodge.

Day 6: Mohare Danda to Swanta trek -7 hours walk (2214 m) (B/L/D)
We make our way towards Swanta village located at the base of Annapurna south Himalaya and hiking now clockwise the Khopra Danda Trek

Day 7: Swanta to Chistibang trek - 4-5 hours walk (3026 m) (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we descend through the clear ground and fine-looking forest to reach the pastures of Chistibung. After this, we ascend steadily through a forest before reaching Upper Chistibung which is a temporary herder’s settlement. If you are able to identify it, you might be fortunate to catch sight of the colorful Lophophorus (Danphe), the national bird of Nepal, as well as Himalayan Thar on the grassy ridge high above the trail.

Day 8: Chistibang to Khopra Danda  trek - 3-4 hours walk (3660 m) (B/L/D)
We start with a steady climb almost to the tree line. Around noon we will be at the lodge and have so enough time to enjoy the amazing view. Terrific views to the nearby Annapurna South, Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri Himal as well as Tukuche Peak.

Day 9: Rest day – Trip to Khayar lake -9 hours walk (4550m) (B/L/D)
We make a trip to Khayar lake at 4550 meters. The lake is famous in the Hindu faith. Similar to the Gosainkunda lake many Hindu pilgrims on the occasion of Janai Purnima festival visit in July/August the Khayar Lake. We enjoy the gorgeous views around the lake.

Day 10: Khopra Danda – Dobato- 4-5 hours walk (3426m) (B/L/D)
The Trekking route is rough and narrow and taking us deep in a rhododendron forest. Further down we crossing the river on a wooden bridge and climbing up to Bayeli. The trail goes up and down and finally, we arrive in Dobato. We have magnificent Mountain View.  It is worth to make a 45 min hike to see the sunset from the Muldai viewpoint from where we can see more than  26 mountains such as Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri range, Nilgiri, Lamjung Himal range etc. When it is clear we even can see until to the Pokhara valley and the beautiful Phewa lake.

Day 11: Dobato – Ghandruk (1940m) (B/L/D)
For the one who missed the sunset view at Muldai hill viewpoint has the chance to enjoy the sunrise. We walking down to Tadapani from where we can see Annapurna South, Himchuli, Fishtail, Gangapurna, Mardi Himal etc. After a while, we arrive in Ghandruk a scenic Gurung Village. We have a great view of mountains like Annapurna South, Fishtail, Himchuli, and Gangapurna etc. Ghandruk is a beautiful village at the foot of the Annapurnas, where the people belonging to Gurung ethnicities have been living. Explore their lifestyle and customs by choosing one of the homestays or the community lodge as your accommodation

Day 12: Ghandruk- Nayapool- Pokhara - 5&1/2 hours walk and 1&1/2 hours drive (B)
We have to walk steeply down and straight to Nayapool from Ghandruk. From Nayapool there is 1&1/2 hour drive to Pokhara. Check in hotel and rest for sometimes after a hot shower. Strolling around the lakeside, hire a boat and visit Tala Barahi Temple - unique temple situated in the middle of Phewa Lake in the evening.

Day 13: Pokhara – Kathmandu (B)
After Breakfast drives back to Kathmandu for around 6-7 hours. Check in hotel. You will offer for the rest and refreshment in the hotel. Evening takes your own time for last minute shopping and scrolling around the touristic places.

Day 14: Departure (B)
Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight a representative from Aarya Village Travel will transfer you to the airport for final departure to your home country.
