Day 1: Kathmandu - 1300m altitude
Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu and meet, assist and transfer to the hotel by our representative. Welcome drinks on arrival and briefing of tour program by one of the representative from Aarya Village Travel.
Day 2: Kathmandu – Pokhara - 900m altitude (B)
After Breakfast drive to Pokhara. It is 5 hours drive from Kathmandu. Pokhara is a remarkable place of natural beauty, situated at an altitude of 900m from the sea level and 200km west of Kathmandu valley. The enchanting town has several beautiful lakes and offers stunning panoramic views of Himalayan peaks. The serenity of lakes and the magnificence of the Himalayas rising behind them create an ambience of peace and magic. Check in hotel. Enjoy walking along the bank of Phewa Lake at evening, admiring the stunning reflection of the Fish Tail Peak in the blue Phewa Lake's water.
Day 3: Pokhara Sightseeing (B)
Early in the morning excursion to Sarangkot hill for closer Mountain View. It is 20 minutes drive and 20 minutes hike from you hotel. Sarangkot is the most popular viewpoint in Pokhara. Situated at an altitude of 1,592m, Sarangkot offers the magnificent view of Sunrise over Mt. Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Massif (weather permitting). After enjoying the beauty of nature, return to hotel for breakfast. After Breakfast start half day sightseeing at Bindhyabasini Temple, the center of religious activities in the old bazaar. It is dedicated to Goddess, Bhagawati, and another manifestation of Shati. People sacrifice animals believing that the god will fulfill their desires and wishes, Gupteshower Cave- popular for the different natural forms made from limestone deposits and Devi’s Fall -It is the most famous water fall in Pokhara, which comes to its gushing best just before disappearing underground. Enjoy walking along the bank of Phewa Lake at evening, admiring the stunning reflection of the Fish Tail Peak in the blue Phewa Lake's water. Later you will have one hour boating in Phewa Lake.
Day 4: Pokhara - Chitwan (B, L, D)
After breakfast, drive to Chitwan for 4 and half hours – 150 km. You will see very nice sceneries, rivers, farm land, paddy field, typical houses and life style of the people on the way to Chitwan while you drive. All the way you will descend down along the winding road on the banks of the Trishuli River. After checking in to the hotel and getting refreshed you will be briefed about full nature programs by our naturalist guide. Then we head on for activities. There will be a guided village walk and a walk on the banks of the Rapti River to watch the charming sunset views in the sub-tropical jungle. In the evening, dinner with cultural program by ethnic tribal people with their stick dance and tribal drums. Overnight at Chitwan.
Wakeup call with cup of hot tea/coffee. After breakfast on your choice visit to the elephant breading center to see baby elephants with bird watching in river bank, go for Canoe ride along the Rapti River. An excellent opportunity for bird watching and for seeing the 2 rare species of crocodiles; the Marsh Mugger and the only fish eating Gharial then you will be taken to real nature walk with different type’s vegetation to see many different types of floras and faunas. Before lunch you can take a leisurely relax little while. After lunch go for Jeep safari, an excellent opportunity to see four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, monkeys, leopard, sloth bear, and the Royal Bengal Tiger. You will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Chitwan their home. Evening Slide presentation: One of our jungle experts will introduce background data and history of the Chitwan National Park as well as some other topics relating to wildlife. Overnight at Chitwan.
Day 6: Chitwan – Kathmandu Sightseeing (B)
After Breakfast fly or drive back to Kathmandu. Check in hotel. After rest and refreshment in hotel you will have a full day sightseeing in UNESCO heritage sites. Sightseeing at Bouddhanath Stupa- a very important religious site for the followers of Buddhism. It is located northeast from the Kathmandu city center. The Stupa is regarded as the centre of faith for the Buddhists. This is also the largest Stupa of Nepal. The Stupa rich in Buddhist arts and cultural heritage is also a popular pilgrimage site, Pashupatinath Temple is a famous, sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Pashupatinath and located on the banks of the Bagmati River. This temple is considered one of the sacred temples of Hindu faith. This "extensive Hindu temple precinct" is a "sprawling collection of temples, ashrams, images and inscriptions raised over the centuries and Patan Durbar Square- Enlisted in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites is a distinct place for arts and architecture that is reflected on each temple, monument and palace building that were mostly built during the Malla period between 16th, 17th and 18th century. The square offers myriad opportunities for visitor willing to study and research artistic and architectural masterpieces, history and culture of Patan. Rest of the time is free on your own.
Day 7: Kathmandu - Lhasa (B)
Fly from Kahtmandu to Lhasa which is 1 hour and 10 minutes flight from Kathmandu. Flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa over the Himalayas is considered one as the most beautiful flights in the world which takes us over Everest (8848m) and Kanchenjunga (8536m). Those who wish to join in Lhasa, can arrive Lhasa on the date mentioned. We will be meeting at Gonggar Airport by our Tibetan guide. After immigration formalities take a 1.5-hour drive along 93 km road leading to Lhasa lying at an altitude of 3,650m/11,972ft meters. It's advisable to rest and take it easy for the remainder of the day due to Lhasa's altitude.
Day 8: Sera monastery, Jokhang temple & Barkhor Street
After breakfast our tour begins with the visit to Sera Monastery. (Sera is the second biggest Gelupa Monastery in the north suburb of Lhasa, which was built in 1419 by Tsongapa’s disciple—Sakya-yeshi. Situated at the heart of the oldest section of the Lhasa city, Jokhang , one of the oldest temples in Tibet, was built in the 7th century by the 33rd king—Sontsanganbu. Barkor is the middle pilgrimage circuit around Jokhang temple.
Day 9: Potala palace & Norbulingka
Like the previous day, you experience invaluable insights during your visits to POTALA PALACE and NORBULINGKA. (Potala was the winter palace of the Dalailama, which was originally built in the 7th century by the king Sotsen Gampo and rebuilt to the present size by the 5th Dalailama in the 17th century. Built in 1416 by Tsongapa’s disciple—Jamyang-choje, Norbulingka, the Jewel Park was the Dalailama’s summer palace; it covers 100 acres with palaces, pavilions and a zoo.
Day 10: Drepung Monastery and Tibetan Hospital & Nunnery (B)
As previous day, today we will do sightseeing at Drepung Monastery, Tibetan Hospital and Nunnery.Built in 1416 by Tsongapa’s disciple—Jamyang-choje, Drepung Monastery is the biggest Gelupa monastery in the west suburb of Lhasa. Tibetan Hospital is located in front of the Jokhang temple. Nunnery is just 1 km south to Jokhang temple with about 100 nuns.
Day 11: Lhasa / Kathmandu (B)
After breakfast fly back to Kathmandu. Check in hotel. You can spend the remaining time strolling around touristy market; perhaps you can do some shopping. Evening farewell dinner in Utsav Restaurent with live cultural show.
Day 12: Departure (B)
Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight a representative from Aarya Village Travel will transfer you to the airport for final departure to your home country.
