1Day 1 - Arrive In Paro

Arrive in Paro via Druk Air or Bhutan Airlines, the country's sole airlines. If the weather permits, you could be treated to breathtaking views of the towering peaks of the eastern Himalayas, including Bhutanese landmarks like Jhomolhari, Jichu Drakye, and Tsering Kang. After completing visa formalities at Paro airport, we'll drive to our hotel overlooking the picturesque Paro Valley.

Later in the afternoon, we'll visit the National Museum situated in an ancient watchtower above Paro Dzong, a fortress monastery. The museum houses an impressive collection featuring exquisite thangkas (religious scroll paintings), bronze statues, Bhutan's beautiful stamps, and Tshogshing Lhakhang, known as the Temple of the Tree of Wisdom, adorned with carvings depicting Buddhism's history. In the evening, you'll receive a briefing on biking activities.

2Day 2 - Motorbike Ride Paro to Thimphu

Start your day with an exhilarating motorcycle ride through Bhutan towards Chele La, which stands at 3,990 meters, offering one of the highest motorable roads in the country. As you ascend, you'll witness a fascinating shift in the surrounding greenery. En route to Thimphu, make a memorable stop at Tachog Lhakhang, a medieval temple perched across a historic iron chain bridge.

Upon reaching Thimphu, head up to Sangay-gang, known locally as the BBS tower, for breathtaking views of Thimphu Valley and the majestic Thimphu Dzong. Along the way, catch glimpses of Bhutan's national animal at the Motithang Takin Preserve Sanctuary. Explore the School of Arts and Crafts, also known as the painting school, and enjoy a traditional Bhutanese-style lunch at Folk Heritage Restaurant. In the evening, immerse yourself in the grandeur of Thimphu Tashichoedzong, where you can stroll through expansive courtyards and visit the impressive Grand Kuenrey.

3Day 3 - Motorbike Ride Thimphu to Punakha

Today we will embark on a bikeride from Thimphu to Punakha, beginning with a scenic 30-minute drive. At Dochu La pass, 3,100 meters high, vibrant prayer flags flutter amidst 108 Chortens. On clear days, the panorama of the Himalayan peaks is breathtaking. Pause here for a warming cup of tea or coffee at the nearby café.

The road descends sharply towards Punakha, and you'll notice the climate shift as you approach Bhutan's ancient capital. Upon reaching Punakha, stroll through Sopsokha village, surrounded by traditional Bhutanese homes and lush rice fields. Visit the fertility temple, where tales of the Divine Mad Monk unfold. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at a local restaurant in Sopsokha. Next, explore Punakha Dzong, renowned for its stunning architecture and strategic position between the Pho Chhu (Male River) and Mo Chhu (Female River). The intricate carvings and sculptures inside this fortress are a visual feast. As the day winds down, ascend to Sangchen Dorji Lhuendrup Choling Nunnery for a mesmerizing view of the Punakha valley.

4Day 4 - Motorbike Ride Punakha to Phobjikha

Start your day with a scenic bike ride to Phobjikha. Along the way, you'll journey through thick oak forests and vibrant rhododendrons until you reach the serene Phobjikha valley. Here, don't miss visiting Gangtey Gompa, the unique Nyingmapa monastery nestled in western Bhutan. From Gangtey, soak in breathtaking views of the Black Mountain range and the enchanting Phobjikha Valley, known as the winter home of the graceful black-necked cranes. Take your time to discover the peaceful Phobjikha valley, where nature's beauty and cultural richness blend seamlessly.

5Day 5 - Motorbike Ride Phobjikha to Bumthang Via Trongsa

From Phobjikha, your journey takes you to Trongsa, the historic seat of Bhutan's royal family. The road winds through breathtaking scenery, including the 3,300-meter-high Pele La pass where, at certain times of the year, you might spot yaks grazing. Upon reaching Trongsa, explore the magnificent Trongsa Dzong, a pinnacle of Bhutanese architectural artistry. Nearby stands Ta Dzong, once a watchtower and now a fascinating museum defending the dzong.

After a delightful lunch, continue your trip to the verdant Bumthang valley, revered as Bhutan's spiritual heart. En route, visit a yathra (traditional textile) factory where local artisans weave intricate patterns unique to Bumthang. You may even observe skilled weavers at their looms, crafting these beautiful textiles.

6Day 6 - Bumthang exploration

Explore the serene Bumthang Valley, where Jakar Dzong serves as the valley's hub, overseeing administrative affairs. Discover Jambay Lhakhang, among Bhutan's oldest monasteries, embodying the country's deep-rooted Buddhist heritage since its introduction. Nearby, Kurje Lhakhang holds sacred significance, marking the spot where Guru Rinpoche, in moments of meditation or leisurely walks through Bumthang, left his spiritual imprint.

Bumthang encompasses four valleys—Chumey, Choekor, Tang, and Ura—spanning altitudes from 2,600 to 4,000 meters. It harbors numerous revered Buddhist temples and monasteries. Today, our journey leads to Tang Valley, where we visit a museum housed in a converted heritage palace, a scenic 2.5-hour drive from Jakar (Bumthang). Crossing the Tang Chhu via a suspension bridge, we arrive at Gamling village. The trail then ascends gently for about 45 minutes, culminating atop a hill. The Ugyen Choling Palace, dating back to the 16th century, now serves as a museum and guest house, still inhabited by descendants of its original builders. Known as 'The Legacy of a Lama Choje Household,' it offers insights into its rich history, starting from the 14th century Tibetan Buddhist master Longchen Rabjam's visit to the region.

7Day 7 - Motorbike Ride Bumthang to Punakha

Start your day exploring the lively Bumthang market before heading back to Punakha. Nearby villages are famous for their beautiful work in slate and stone carvings, as well as their intricate bamboo artistry. Visit Punakha Dzong as well.

8Day 8 - Motorbike Ride Punakha to Thimphu

As the sun rises, your adventure continues towards Thimphu. After a delicious lunch, head north to Dodena in Thimphu's northern region. There, you'll find the enchanting Tango Monastery, built in the 15th century. This architectural marvel not only serves as a hub for advanced Buddhist studies but also offers stunning views of the valley below.

As evening approaches, immerse yourself in the world of handicrafts. Explore the charming shops brimming with unique creations, each telling its own story through intricate designs and vibrant colors. 9Day 9 - Motorbike Ride Thimphu to Paro

As the sun ascends, we set off on a journey to Kuenselphodrang, where a grand Buddha statue awaits, offering a breathtaking view of the sunrise. On weekends, a lively market springs to life, tempting visitors with a rich tapestry of Bhutanese cuisine. Imagine stalls brimming with spicy chilies, fresh cheese, and an array of fruits. You can also discover Bhutanese crafts and household treasures amidst the bustling aisles.

Later, continue your adventure with a motorbike ride to Paro. Consider visiting a traditional farmhouse where you can relax in a therapeutic hot-stone bath and savor a delicious Bhutanese dinner, immersing yourself in the true flavors of the country.

10Day 10 - Hike Tiger Nest

After breakfast, we will embark on a hike to Tiger's Nest, also known as Paro Taktsang. This iconic monastery, perched on a cliffside 3,000 feet above the Paro Valley in Bhutan, is a sacred site and a marvel of architecture. Legend has it that Guru Rinpoche, who introduced Buddhism to Bhutan, flew to this location on the back of a tigress. The hike offers stunning views and a glimpse into Bhutanese spirituality, making it a memorable part of the journey.

11Day 11 - Depart Paro

Start your day with an early breakfast at the hotel. Afterward, head to the airport for your flight to your next destination. Our representative will assist with exit procedures and wish you a fond farewell.
