Your guide will greet you and take you on a scenic hour-long drive to Thimphu, Bhutan's charming capital. At 2,320 meters above sea level, Thimphu mixes traditional Bhutanese art, architecture, and culture with modern elements. Wander through its vibrant streets, discover historic sites, and engage with the friendly locals.
On the way, stop at Tachog Lhakhang, a temple built by engineer Thangtong Gyalpo, and admire the reconstructed iron bridge he pioneered. In Thimphu, relax at your luxurious hotel before exploring the National Memorial Chorten, the impressive Buddha Dordenma statue, and the Royal Takin Preserve.
