Detail Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu, one of our representatives from Aarya Village Travel shall meet, assist and transfer you to your hotel. You will enjoy welcome drinks while you will be briefed about your Nepal adventure trek itinerary. The rest of the day will be at your leisure.
Your journey on the second day begins with a drive to Pokhara right after breakfast which may take approximately 6 hours of drive. Located 210 km west of Kathmandu, this beautiful lakeside city is a prime tourism destination in Nepal offering with spellbinding and hypnotic natural beauty, stunning panoramic views of Himalayan peaks. The drive on the way itself is going to be an amazingly unique experience as you travel beside the mighty river with some strong current almost throughout your journey with scenic greenery on both sides of the road along with human settlements thick and thin at different places. After you reach Pokhara you check in to your hotel, get yourself refreshed and have some rest. During the evening you might enjoy walking along the bank of Phewa Lake, admiring the stunning reflection of the Fish Tail Peak over the bluish Phewa Lake water.
Our guide will escort you to Phedi on a drive that lasts for 45 minutes. Walking through beautiful villages, terraced farms and a short stretch of woods we reach Dhampus hill. Dhampus is a small, ethnic Gurung village. The Gurungs are known for their welcoming nature and bravery. A hike to Dhampus will give you an opportunity to witness the daily lives of the villagers from milking the buffalos to their daily chores on their farms. We will have Lunch at Dhampus. After lunch walk across the village towards the Australian Camp which takes about an hour. The camp is at the center of the Dhampus. The Australian Camp provides amazing views of Annapurna South, Fishtail, Mt Dhaulagiri, Tukuche peak, Dhampus Peak, Nilgiri, and Himchuli. Overnight at Australian Camp.
After breakfast, we head out from the Australian camp continuing through forests to Pothana village and continue trekking to a ridge of Mardi and Mordi River, Pritam Deurali. We will have lunch at Deurali. From (Deurali) we are leaving the trail of the ABC trek and following the trail through quiet forests with mixed vegetation. We pass the Pine Forest road which is again steep ascent. We pass through scenic Rhododendron forests. The entire trail ascends in a dense forest filled with birds whistling and chirping. Since this is a new trekking route you will find no tea houses in between. Overnight at Forest Camp.
After Breakfast, we start our trek from Forest Camp to Low Camp and then to high camp. We stop for lunch at Low camp (2970m), here you can see the amazing and clear views of Mt. Fishtail. After lunch, between the journey of Low camp and High Camp, there is a place called View Point where you can see various snow-capped mountains like South Annapurna, Himchuli, Mt. Fishtail and villages like Chhomrong Village, Ghandruk Village, and Annapurna region. From here we start walking upwards to High Camp (3550m) where you will be staying overnight.
High camp is a small pasture where you find yourself above the clouds and closer to snowcapped peaks. Overnight at High Camp.
The most thrilling and astonishing day of Mardi Himal Base Camp trek with a long descent to Mardi Himal Base Camp. Most portions of this trail is ascending up on rocky pebble paths, following the footprints of Yak. It takes 4hrs to reach the base camp of Mardi Himal, the base camp is right below Fishtail and the altitude alpine base camp approach provides amazing views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Flute Peak, Mt. Hiuchuli, sacred mountain Machhapuchhare and Manaslu with a massive canyon. We then trek down to the guesthouse and spend extra night at high camp.
There is no better way to start your day than with the most precious Sunrise view where the sun's rays hit the peaks with a golden yellowish hue. Have your breakfast at High camp and descend towards Sidding, it is a 6-hour walk. This is a different route down to the upper Mardi Khola. Here, as we make our way along the banks of the Mardi Khola from the hill-side village of Siding, down through the lovely fields, passing the simple farms and over an interesting suspension bridge. There is no doubt that this is indeed idyllic Nepal Countryside. Overnight at Sidding
After a leisurely breakfast at Sidding we walk towards Lwang which is a gradual ascent with flat portions too. From this point the trail contours and is undulating. Lwang is a Gurung village with rich culture and traditions. After a short walk now from Lwang Ghalel the trail skirts an outcrop. Here your transport awaits you. We will be back to Pokhara after lunch. Check-in the hotel and relax. Evening you can stroll around the lakeside and mingle with travelers.
After Breakfast drive back to Kathmandu for around 6-7 hours (depending on traffic). Check in hotel. You can rest and prepare for an exciting evening.
In the evening we will go for Typical Nepali Dinner with a live cultural show performed by different ethnic groups. It lasts for 3 hours.
Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight a representative from Aarya Village Travel will transfer you to the airport for your onward journey.
