After Breakfast we start cycling from Thamel to Hattiban from where we cycle little uphill grunt. We cycle through pine trees and prayer flags to preview the upper part of the route. There are multiple jump options to scout along the way. Follow the ridge to a flat knoll and point your bike back downhill. Pause a moment to take in the surrounding views. Now it's time to drop your seat post, no pedaling necessary from here on out. Descend what you just came up. The very upper section is open and then gradually screams through tall pines. Roll over a beam and catch your breath as you stare down a long staircase on the ridge of an open hillside. It's a bit overwhelming at first but once you've started to chatter your way down the steps you'll be focused on the route ahead. This section ends above a village and will surely have your forearms and calves screaming. Continue right at the bottom of the stairs on steep single track down to a road. The route finishes with some steep, slippery and gnarly terrain through pockets of forest and village, ending at the local spring in Gwaldaha and finally we ride back to Thamel.
