ITINERARY

 

Day 1: Kathmandu - 1300m altitude

Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu and meet, assist and transfer to the hotel by our representative. Welcome drinks on arrival and briefing of tour program by one of the representative from Aarya Village Travel.

 

Day 2: Kathmandu- Chitwan (B, L, D)

After breakfast, fly or drive to Chitwan. It is 30min flight and 5 hours drive from Kathmandu. The beautiful landscape and river will follow throughout your trip. After checking in to the hotel and getting refreshed you will be briefed about full nature programs by our naturalist guide. After Lunch we head on for activities. Elephant-back safari: Guests will ride on elephant to explore the jungle and wildlife the one-horned rhinoceros, several types of deer, monkeys, wild boar, bison, sloth bear, leopard and, if lucky, the Royal Bengal tiger. This exciting ride lasts for 2-3 hours, walk on the banks of the Rapti River to watch the charming sunset views in the sub-tropical jungle. In the evening, dinne

 

Day 3: Chitwan (B, L, D)

Wake-up calls followed by tea or coffee and proceed for Bird watching. Out of 519 species of birds we have recorded 276 species in our area. Our guides will help you to identify some of the species of these birds. After Breakfast visit Elephant Breeding Centre and Elephant Bathing Programme: Learn more about these fascinating animals during a visit to our elephant stables. After Lunch we will go for Jeep Safari & Canoeing (subject to weather conditions): Drive by Jeep to Kasara,   the head quarter of The Chitwan National Park to see the Gharial (Alligator) hatchery project, founded by Frankfurt Zoological Society. After a short briefing about the project & visit, drive to the oxbow lakes (Lami Tal & Tamar Tal) by Jeep through dense sal forest to encounter various plants and other wildlife. After the drive come down to the Rapti river at canoeing put in point. Start canoeing in a traditional dug-out canoe which takes you on a silent trip down the Rapti River to view aquatic birds, crocodiles and the animals of the river banks. Evening Slide presentation: One of our jungle experts will introduce background data and history of the Chitwan National Park as well as some other topics relating to wildlife. Day 4: Chitwan – Kathmandu-Nagarkot -2100m (B)

Wake up call with hot Coffee/tea. After breakfast fly or drive back to Kathmandu. Further, drive to Nagarkot that takes around 1 and ½ hour drive. En route visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square- World Heritage Site. The medieval town of Bhaktapur, or the Town of the Devotees, preserves medieval arts, architecture, culture, and lifestyle to this date. One is sure to feel like travelling back into the past while walking along the Bhaktapur thoroughfares, squares and streets. Overnight at Nagarkot for the magnificent views of Eastern Himalayas including Mt Everest (weather permitting).

 

Day 5: Nagarkot- Kathmandu Sightseeing (B)

Early morning enjoy the sunrise view and the long chain of Easter Himalayas of Nepal you’re your windows. After Breakfast drive back to Kathmandu and start full day sightseeing in UNESCO heritage sites. Sightseeing at Bouddhanath Stupa- is a very important religious site for the followers of Buddhism. It is located northeast from the Kathmandu city center. The Stupa is regarded as the centre of faith for the Buddhists. This is also the largest Stupa of Nepal. The Stupa rich in Buddhist arts and cultural heritage is also a popular pilgrimage site, Pashupatinath Temple is a famous, sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Pashupatinath is located on the banks of the Bagmati River. This temple is considered one of the sacred temples of Hindu faith. This "extensive Hindu temple precinct" is a "sprawling collection of temples, ashrams, images and inscriptions raised over the centuries and Patan Durbar Square- Enlisted in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites is a distinct place for arts and architecture that reflect on each temple, monument and palace building that were mostly built during the Malla period between 16th, 17th and 18th century. The square offers myriad opportunities for visitor willing to study and research artistic and architectural masterpieces, history and culture of Patan. Rest of the time is free on your own.

 

Day 6: Departure (B)

Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight a representative from Aarya Village Travel will transfer you to the airport for final departure to your home country.
