Day 1: Kathmandu - 1300m altitude
Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu and meet, assist and transfer to the Maya Manohar Boutique Hotel with our representative. Maya Manor is a historic mansion turned into boutique hotel. Welcome drinks on arrival and briefing of tour program by one of the representative from Aarya Village Travel.
Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing
After Breakfast start full day sightseeing in UNESCO heritage sites. Sightseeing at Bouddhanath Stupa- is a very important religious site for the followers of Buddhism. The Stupa is regarded as the centre of faith for the Buddhists. This is also the largest Stupa of Nepal. The Stupa rich in Buddhist arts and cultural heritage is also a popular pilgrimage site, Pashupatinath Temple is a famous, sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Pashupatinath is located on the banks of the Bagmati River. This temple is considered one of the sacred temples of Hindu faith and Patan Durbar Square- Enlisted in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites is a distinct place for arts and architecture that reflect on each temple, monument and palace building that were mostly built during the Malla period between 16th, 17th and 18th century. Rest of the time is free on your own.
Day 3: Kathmandu-Bhaktapur (B)
After breakfast drive to Bhaktapur. Half day sightseeing around Bhaktapur Durbar Square- World Heritage Site. The medieval town of Bhaktapur, or the Town of the Devotees, preserves medieval arts, architecture, culture, and lifestyle to this date. One is sure to feel like travelling back into the past while walking along the Bhaktapur thoroughfares, squares and streets. Overnight at Heritage Hotel, Bhaktapur. It is a boutique hotel which successfully blends traditional Nepali look and feel with modern amenities. The hotel is located a short 7-minute walk from Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
Day 4: Bhaktapur- Nuwakot (B)
After an early breakfast drive to Nuwakot for around 3 hours. The district accordingly has 9 hills over which various deities are said to dwell thus overseeing and protecting Nuwakot.This has led Nuwakot often being called "City of nine hills". Check in at ‘The famous Farm of Nuwakot” which is a fantastic place for traveler to rest. From here you can also get a spectacular view of Nuwakot Palace and we will take a walk around the village. Visit the popular Nagarkot Palace, which is a magnificent historical structure that nestles in this hilly region with its splendor since ancient time. We can see Trishuli River and various mountain ranges while strolling around.
Day 5: Nuwakot-Bandipur (B)
After breakfast, drive to Bandipur Village for 5-6 hours. You can see old Newari Village, houses and their distinct culture. Apparently going to bandipur is like entering an earlier age, back into Nepal that elsewhere barely still exists. Over night at Old Inn Bandipur.
Day 6: Bandipur (B)
After early morning breakfast, village walk to see the beautiful scenery and take a look at the local lifestyle. In the afternoon you will hike up through stone stairs to reach the Siddha Gufa (Cave). A local guide will escort you all the way up there. Siddha Gufa is said to be the largest cave in Nepal and second largest in Asia. Its cathedral-like chasm is full of twisted stalactites and stalagmites and hundreds of bats chirp and whistle overhead. Hike back to hotel and evening you can have a free time on your own.
Day 7: Bandipur-Chitwan(B, L, D)
After breakfast, drive to Chitwan for 2-3 hours. You will see very nice sceneries, rivers, farm land, paddy field, typical houses and life style of the people on the way to Chitwan while you drive. All the way you will descend down along the winding road on the banks of the Trishuli River.
Arrive at Barahi Jungle Lodge. Upon arrival, welcome drink is served and there will be a short briefing on the program and our facilities, rooms will be assigned. After Lunch we head on for activities .Elephant-back safari: Short drive for about 5 minutes from the resort for a ride on elephant to explore the jungle and wildlife, the one-horned rhinoceros, several types of deer, monkeys, wild boar, bison, sloth bear, leopard and, if lucky, the Royal Bengal tiger. This exciting ride lasts for 2-2½ hours.
Slide presentation: One of our jungle experts will introduce background data and history of the Chitwan National Park as well as some other topics relating to wildlife. Your questions are most welcome. Dinner at the central dining hall. A romantic evening for the couple with champagne served amidst pleasant surroundings. Dinner at the central dining hall.
Day 8: Chitwan (B, L, D)
Wake up call followed by tea/coffee. Today you will have Whole Day Excursion with Inside the National Park (with packed lunch): After Breakfast, proceed towards the Rapti River just in front of our resort in Boat put in point and cross the river on a patela boat. After crossing the river start a Nature Walk inside the Chitwan National park to explore the different oxbow lakes like (Devi Tal, Munda Tal, Lamo Tal, Kamal Tal) to view the Marsh Mugger and different mammals, aquatic and other bird species.
Rest for Lunch either in the safe chosen scenic spot by the Naturalist or at the ‘Machan (wooden platform to view the animals)’. After the Lunch continue the excursion and come back to the resort crossing the Rapti River before the sunset.
Evening: Can attend the regular evening program of Tharu Dance or power point presentation or just relax by the poolside or bar area.
Dinner at the central hall.
Day 9: Chitwan-Kathmandu (B)
Wake-up calls followed by tea/coffee.
Village Visit with Bullock Cart Ride: Our naturalist will brief you about the social and cultural aspect of the villagers and their lifestyle. After the visit ride on a bullock cart and come back to the resort.
After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu. Check in hotel. You will offer for the rest and refreshment in hotel. Evening take your own time as leisure.
Day 10: Departure (B)
Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight a representative from Aarya Village Travel will transfer you to the airport for final departure to your home country.
